Model
Portfolios
Our model portfolios
can be used to help clarify a selection of funds which would be
appropriate for ethical investors with differing attitudes to investment
risk.
There
are 4 portfolios to choose from:
1.
Cautious Portfolio. This would be suitable
for an ethical investor who wanted lower risk, less volatile returns.
2.
Balanced Portfolio. This would be appropriate
for ethical investors who were prepared to take some risks with
their portfolio, but also wish to minimise their exposure to higher
risk.
3.
Medium High Risk Portfolio. This would
contain ethical funds characterised by higher than average rates
of volatility and may involve investing in funds which are non-UK
based and consequently are susceptible to currency exchange rate
fluctuations.
4.
High Risk Portfolio. This would be suitable
for ethical investors who were prepared to take significant risks
and were prepared to accept very high rates of volatility.
Portfolio
modelling can also be useful when considering whether to adopt a
"dark" or a "light" green approach to investment
portfolio construction.
1.
Light Green Portfolio. This contains
funds which are characterised by a "light green" approach
to investment.
2.
Blended Portfolio. This contains a mix
of light and dark green funds.
3.
Dark Green Portfolio. This is composed
of "dark" green investment funds.
